Ref 29567: Our client, a globally renowned plastic, chemical, and refining company, has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Process / Production Engineer to work based in Houston. The successful candidate will: monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize operating units to drive process and product improvements; apply technical knowledge to detect causes of deviations in quality, capacity, yield, and energy consumption; identify, recommend and implement strategic projects to improve unit performance. The process / production engineer will also collaborate with unit specialists and other engineers to support process design and implementation of capital projects. Responsibilities include:

developing systems to improve and sustain value in the areas of health, safety, environment, production rates, reliability, cost and quality; maintaining strong safety and environmental compliance focus; developing recommendations to improve unit performance; monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing operating units; providing process design support for capital projects; contributing in a team environment and establishing work relationships with onsite and offsite functional groups to achieve results; balancing day-to-day operational priorities with long term strategic objectives; coaching less experienced engineers, as well as technical training to others.
