Ref 21731: A leading global supplier of both chemicals and industrial gases is looking for a European Plant Process Engineering Manager to join their Performance Materials Division. The European Plant Process Engineering Manager is a European leadership position, based at their UK facility, with responsibilities extending to a second facility in Germany and some travel required. Responsibilities include: delivering on productivity targets; providing technical and functional oversight to 6-8 process engineering team members; providing technical leadership on critical plant issues and when dealing with external authorities; supporting the development and execution of growth strategies for both facilities; driving resolution and closure of process safety-related activities; managing hiring and compensation-planning activities; providing non-technical coaching; preparing and executing development plans for team members; cultivating productive relationships with the Operations, Engineering, R&D, and Commercial organisations; maintaining open relationships with other Regional Managers. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering, or similar, be a considerably experienced and chartered Engineer with a background in Process Engineering, possess solid process design skills, (including P&ID development, equipment sizing and HAZOP leadership) and hands-on operating plant experience.
