Based at our headquarters in Cheshire, PIL is currently looking to strengthen its highly successful team by recruiting two Process Engineers / Consultants.  The roles involve the design and optimisation of processes using PIL’s technology and software. You will be applying process improvement techniques and be involved in technology evaluation, economic assessment, process design and retrofit, process modelling and simulation, preparation of PFD’s and heat/mass balances and sizing/specification of major process equipment. 

The first, more senior position, will require you to have experience in refining, petrochemical and chemical processes including utility and hydrogen systems with a familiarity of engineering work processes, preferably gained with an engineering contractor. You must have a robust knowledge of chemical engineering design principles with the ability to manage a team of consultants and liaise with our clients. Ideal candidates will have an MSc in Chemical Engineering and be chartered or be close to receiving chartered engineer status.   

The second, junior role will appeal to an engineer with a good BSc/MSc who wishes to work in the areas outlined above and who has a strong interest in applying process improvement techniques.
