Description:
The School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham is recognised internationally for research and teaching. It incorporates two EPSRC-supported Doctoral Training Centres, an Engineering Doctoral Centre in Formulation Engineering, which won for the University the 2012 Queen’s Anniversary Prize, and a DTC in Hydrogen and Fuel Cells. Research is strongly supported by both Research Councils and industry. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses are given in both chemical and biochemical engineering.
We seek to appoint two lecturers, one in multiscale modelling and one in chemical engineering applied to medicine. The successful candidate will both contribute to the teaching in the School and carry out research. The successful candidate should have a first degree and a PhD, or equivalent experience. S/he will have a track record in the area, reflected in industrial and/or academic experience. The candidate will be expected to participate in and to lead international quality research in their areas of expertise, and in collaboration with others in the School.
