Within our Utilities Business Unit our Infrastructure teams have a number of water related roles. These roles could comprise working on any or all of the following project stages:
• Concept stage design
• Front End Engineering Design
• Detailed design and/or Review as required
• Selection of the contracting delivery partner
• Technical support and construction supervision
• Commissioning and handover
We are looking to involve the right calibre of Process Engineer to get involved these interesting and challenging projects.
Primary Job Responsibilities
As a Senior or Principal Process Engineer you will be working on wastewater treatment, sewage transfer system or seawater cooling system projects. Responsibilities include:
• Assist the Senior Project Engineer (PM) on Process issues
• Process Lead for the design for small/medium/large projects
• Leading a Process design team to complete scopes of work within agreed time frames
• Liaising with the Project Engineer and other design team members
• Assisting the program Quality Manager and PM to meet Health and Safety and overall project quality objectives
• Ensuring project financial performance within Process Discipline budget on projects
• Develop and maintaining excellent relationships with the other discipline leads on the projects
Training and Experience:
Essential:
• Chartered engineer or approaching chartership (IChemE/CIWEM)
• Extensive experience in the design of water infrastructure
• Extensive experience in leading the Process design team of medium or large projects to complete scopes of work within agreed time frames and guidelines
• Minimum of a Degree or Honours degree in a Process Engineering related discipline
• Experience in treatment plant and pump station instrumentation and control systems
• Proven ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with client and other project team members
• Experience of budget management and financial performance
Desirable
• Experience of construction supervision.
• Good working knowledge of different contract types and procurement options.
