Successful delivery of this exciting, new role requires the candidate:

• To act as the technical lead on the development, testing, manufacture and commercial operation of catalysts within the Commercial CompactGTL process

• To work with suppliers and strategic partners to develop practical and commercial solutions for catalyst design and operation within catalyst/reactor systems at commercial scale

• To act as the primary technical interface with catalyst suppliers, helping to identify and select the most appropriate catalysts for commercial plants

• To provide the appropriate technical input on catalyst systems in the design, development and testing (including integrity testing) of SMR and FT reactors

• To evaluate the commercial cost effectiveness of catalysts within proposed catalyst/reactor systems at prototype and pilot plant scale to identify critical technical and commercial issues

• To ensure that work on catalysis is driven to enable the cost effective and successful operation of laboratory, prototype and pilot reactors

• To advise CompactGTL management on the quality and direction of scientific work proposed and carried out by suppliers and partners on catalyst/reactor systems, including quality control programmes

• To analyse and interpret results obtained from internal/external scientific work, providing CompactGTL management a clear and concise summary including conclusions and recommendations

• To identify those gaps in out scientific understanding which are critical to our commercial success and then clearly communicate the goals, requirements and methods to effectively improve our associated knowledge to adequate levels

• To provide other scientific and technical assistance as and when required including but not limited to catalyst conditioning and regeneration, and selection of gas pre-treatment catalysts
