MC Ionic Solutions UK Limited, a new wholly owned subsidiary of the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC), is building a new 10,000 tonne capacity electrolyte plant on the site of it’s sister company, Lucite International in Billingham.

MCC, an all round chemical company, headquartered in Tokyo, operates manufacturing and R & D facilities throughout Japan as well as having operations in Asia, Europe and the US. As the only company in the world to provide all four key materials for Li-ion batteries, MCC sees the production of electrolyte, used in both electric and hybrid vehicles, as a next generation growth business and is investing heavily in the UK to meet anticipated demand.

We are looking to recruit a Production Manager with a degree in chemical or process engineering, preferably chartered, with a high level of technical expertise, particularly within the chemical industry.

Candidates should have excellent leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills, with a proven ability to deliver in a world class manufacturing environment. Experience of setting up a new operation, working in automotive supply or in a Japanese style environment would also be advantageous.
