Warner Lambert's bulk pharmaceutical complex, IrelandCareers and training

People development and training is also a strong focus within Fluor. We provide career paths for process engineers who want to pursue either a managerial or technical route, with both paths carrying equal status. We also provide routes for process engineers into project management, sales, and general management.

We provide ongoing training and education for our employees through:

  • On the job training
  • Seminars, classes or self study programmes which enhance technical and managerial skills and foster personal and professional growth.
  • Working with professionally qualified colleagues, best in the industry, who can share their expertise and experiences with you.
  • Access to state-of the art technologies across a broad range of industries.
  • Work experience in the field as well as in the office
  • Working with Fluor employees and clients from offices and projects around the world.

Your professional training is monitored under the direction of a qualified technical mentor to provide the necessary foundation for attaining chartered status. Training consists of working from the outset as a contributing member of a project task force under the guidance of an experienced engineer. Technical knowledge and understanding are gained quickly, and are matched by increasing responsibility. Chartered status is the usual professional qualification for lead engineers who are responsible not just for the technical aspect of their discipline’s involvement on a project, but for budgets, schedule, management and client relations too.
