IChemE launches new job board

Added functionality for jobseekers and recruiters

Adam Duckett

ICHEME has launched a new portal for job seekers, helping process engineers find new opportunities and employers recruit top-class talent.

The new board can be found at jobs.thechemicalengineer.com. Based on the market-leading Madgex job board platform, its clean layout and intuitive design makes it easy to navigate and browse vacancies.

Jobseekers can set customised job alerts, upload CVs and cover letters, ensuring that once set up, applying for any of the advertised positions should take less time and effort.

Recruiters meanwhile will benefit from state-of-the-art reporting capabilities; giving them access to real-time information on how many times their vacancies have been viewed, bookmarked and applied for.

The board is also integrated with multi-posting services including Broadbean and Idibu, which allows recruiters to easily post vacancies to multiple job boards.

The board will feature all of the vacancies advertised in IChemE’s monthly members’ magazine, The Chemical Engineer (tce), and many more jobs posted exclusively online.

Accessible to both IChemE members and non-members, the board features chemical and process engineering vacancies from around the world, across a broad range of categories ranging from oil and gas exploration to biochemicals, and from instrumentation and process control to insurance, risk and safety.

Claudia Flavell-While, director of publications at IChemE, says: “We are very excited to be launching the new job board. Our existing job board facilities were rather old and did not have many of the features jobseekers and recruiters have rightly come to expect.

“I hope that jobseekers and recruiters alike will appreciate the huge leap forward in usability and functionality the new boards represent, and will use them to help their careers and their companies.”
