SENIOR PRINCIPAL PROCESS ENGINEER

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Principal Process Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. You will contribute to the long-term capability development of this major technology hub office for Uhde’s global upstream and downstream oil and gas business. The immediate opportunity is in the role of Lead Process Engineer on a major international oil refining project.

Uhde is the FEED contractor for a major Middle East refining revamp project consisting of seven licensed process units and complete off-plots facilities.

As Senior Principal Process Engineer, you will undertake broad people and technical leadership responsibilities within the company. This will involve individual and team development, technical design leadership, proposals/project development involving detailed calculations, design and specifications, engineering analysis, process simulations, studies, conceptual, FEED and detailed design of process systems.

You will have acquired highly developed technical and leadership experience, outstanding communication skills, and extensive experience as a principal/lead process engineer within the oil refining, oil & gas and petrochemical industries, complemented by formal qualifications in engineering and direct experience in leading process engineering for major, complex FEED development.

The position is based in the Uhde Melbourne, Australia office which is one of two major Uhde technology hubs for oil refining globally, and is also a major technology hub for upstream oil & gas and for gasification. Reporting to the General Manager - Technology Services, this is a key international portfolio responsible for implementing and expanding the Uhde group’s global refining strategy. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your considerable technical and commercial skills to maintain and build recognition of Uhde. As a global provider of technology, engineering and execution for refining projects, you will assist Uhde offices to build on their reputations in regional and global refining as Front End, HVE and procurement centres.

You will have acquired highly developed technical, project delivery and commercial experience, outstanding communication skills, extensive experience in global refining and technology development, including interaction with process licensors, engineering consulting and contracting, complemented by formal qualifications in engineering.
