The School of Engineering is expanding its range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes while continuing to deliver world-class research. Two Lecturers/Senior Lecturers are sought to contribute to research and teaching in Petroleum Engineering. Applications are invited from Engineers or Applied Scientists whose research and teaching interests lie in the broad area of Petroleum Engineering. We seek dynamic individuals with clear ability for leading research in their ? eld. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to teach well across the undergraduate years.You will join a research-intensive General Engineering unit, which had 83% of its research output ranked as world leading or internationally excellent in the 2008 UK Research Assessment Exercise (RAE 2008). With the University located at the centre of the North Sea’s oil and gas industry, opportunities exist for research with industry and with colleagues in Engineering and the School of Geosciences. The posts are two of many new positions supporting the School of Engineering’s major expansion across energy-related disciplines, including new Chair (Professorial) appointments in Petroleum Engineering, Subsea Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Safety & Reliability Engineering.

 

Lecturer: £36,532- £42,622 per annum

Senior Lecturer: £44,930 - £52,086 per annum
