Hornsea Gas Storage is the largest on shore gas storage facility in the country. It consists of two sites – Atwick and Aldbrough on the east coast of Yorkshire storing and delivering gas to the National Gas Transmission Network on a 24/7/365 basis. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager at the Atwick site.

You will provide managerial support, both on a day to day and medium term basis to provide direction and focus for the Atwick site, directing day to day plant operations through the Shift Production Engineers. You will manage all operational and safety issues of the top tier COMAH site at Atwick.

To support both the Atwick and Aldbrough Site Managers in ensuring that all site strategy is smoothly implemented and that all activities are planned, audited and controlled to meet all legal, statutory and commercial requirements

You will:
• Demonstrate an understanding of all aspects of the Storage business including profit centers & engineering so that they can contribute to, influence and set the direction of the Storage business
• Be degree qualified
• Have strong written and oral communication skills
